K08 - Emanzipation und Konfrontation
Kunst aus Kärnten - 1945 bis heute

"Die erste umfassende Ausstellung zur Gegenwartskunst in Kärnten von 1945 bis heute."
An 9 Standorten werden Themen-Schwerpunkte zur Kunst aus Kärnten präsentiert. Inhaltlich begleitet wird die Ausstellung von namhaften Partnergalerien in Kärnten, die zeitgleich zu K08 KünstlerInnen ihrer Galerie in Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen vorstellen. Eine Besonderheit dieses Projektes sind selten gezeigte Werke aus Privatbesitz und Installationen im musealen und öffentlichen Raum, die von KünstlerInnen eigens für die Ausstellung umgesetzt werden.
IM NAPOLEONSTADEL ZU SEHEN:
Neben der Dokumentation regionaler Schwerpunkte etablierte
sich Kärntens Haus der Architektur auch als Zentrum für einen
überregionalen und internationalen Austausch der Architekturszene.
Diesen Aspekt greift die Ausstellung unter dem Titel
architekturTRANSFER auf. Gezeigt wird eine Auswahl an Projekten
internationaler Architekturbüros, die durch ihre Bautätigkeit seit
1990 wichtige Landmarks in Kärnten gesetzt haben sowie
komplementär dazu erstmals auch einen Überblick über Kärntner
ArchitektInnen, die ihren Arbeitsmittelpunkt außerhalb des Landes
gefunden haben. Die Vielzahl an internationalen Einzelprojekten
dokumentiert die Bedeutung des Transfers avancierter
zeitgenössischer Architektur in alle Richtungen: von außen nach
innen sowie von einer im Land selbst agierenden Architekturszene
nach außen. Für die 21 vorgestellten ArchitektInnenteams haben
SHARE architects eine unkonventionelle, spielerische Präsentation
gestaltet. Darüber hinaus begleitet die Ausstellung als Zusatztool
ein grafisch aufbereiteter »Reality Check« in die verschiedenen
Strukturen und Arbeitsweisen junger Architekturbüros im
europäischen Raum.
